Immediate crash on creating new catalog
I don't know much about catalogs, as I have mainly worked in sessions.
But I tried to create a new catalog just now: File>New catalog... Then typed in a suitable name and clicked OK. Immediate crash. It's happened several times.
New session is fine.
Fully up to date Capture one 11.0.1 on MacOS Sierra. Restarting the computer and trying again doesn't cure it. Any ideas?

Edited to add: that is on my iMac. No such problem on my MacBook Pro. Both running the same version of C1 and of MacOS.

Hmm, strange, - have you tried to create the catalog in a different location (default is Pictures - I think) like 'desktop' or documents?
I tested on my MacBook Pro and can confirm its fine - unfortunately I don't have an iMac...0 -

Yes I tried it in Documents too.

Well, the only other cause I can think of is some problem with a .plist in your iMac...
Sounds like a Phase one ticket is in order to resolve this short of complete un/re-installing the program.
(I use CleanMyMac3 for such endeavors and had good results so far...)0 -
Thanks. It seems to have sorted itself out today. I opened a different small catalog this morning that I had made a while ago, as a test, and then tried again to create a new one, and it was OK - after crashing repeatedly yesterday. So hoping all is now well.

A new catalog can be created without loading an existing catalog. Instead of selecting a recent catalog, click on the "New Catalog" button. 0 -

Yes I know that, but it was crashing every time.
