    Hello,

Is there a way to export files or "edit with" to Tiff format (or other non destructive file format) that convert local adjustment layers to layers in the output or "edit with" file ?

    Thanks.

I am pretty sure it is not possible.

If you use Edit With, C1 processes what it has and will create a flat image to send to the external editor. What I was not sure of is what would happen if I opened a tiff in C1, added some layers and then used Open In instead of Edit With. But that also apparently only sends the base image without the adjustments, at least based on the testing that I did.

C1 does not understand normal layered formats and will not display, for example, a multi-layer tiff file. It apparently does not keep its own "Local Adjustments" information in standard layers so it does not seem to output them that way either.

If someone has any information to the contrary I would be very interested in hearing about it.

The best I can figure out is a flatten image (no layers) with CO9's adjustments applied.

    No.

The chances of any external editor understanding the C1 layers would be very low. Why would it be desirable?

If you take the need to an extreme every RAW converter and editor would be just like every other RAW converter and editor. Except perhaps for the UI. That could be presented as the marketing differentiator - something similar to how the auto industry has developed. Slightly different body, change the trim, mechanicals all the same because no one looks at them.

    Just my opinion of course.
