Disappearing previews
Running a separate install of version 8 on Mavericks and successfully managed to create a new library importing from Aperture then updated all metadata. All seems to have gone well, with crops, ratings etc retained from Aperture and the hierarchical keywords from Lightroom.
However, large numbers of images are losing their previews - as different folders are selected to review, the image previews show briefly and then disappear, leaving a black box. All the metadata and camera details are intact but no preview. Tried regenerating previews, tried synching folders, tried re-importing individual images but same result. There does not appear to be any common connection between the affected images i.e. from different cameras, different file formats, taken at different times etc so I am puzzled. Previews show without problem for the same images imported manually in version 7 and also in Lightroom.
Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas what might be causing it?
