In Windows ... right click -> show selected -> Print

or from the menus ..... Find -> show selected ..... Print

or (because the defaults are not great) .... Find -> show selected .... then .... Make - > Contact Sheet
... and tweek the parameters (realize that the thumbnail view dimensions are the contact sheet dimensions, not the thumbnail dimensions).

    It works really well.

Does not work for me either, including using the suggested approach. I can get the thumbnails "all selected" and showing on the screen, and with "Contact Sheet" checked, it still shows a page for each thumbnail.

What size are your thumbnails? (you can see this in Edit->Thumbnails and Previews).

If your thumbnails are set to a sane size (mine are 320 pixels) then when you go to[color=#BF0000:1blisrev] Make->Contact Sheet[/color:1blisrev] and enter parameters such as:

    Units: Inches
    Width: 10
    Height: 8
    Resolution: 300 dpi

You should see a preview contact sheet with about 60 or more images (that is, if your "view selection" has 60 or more images).

The OP was wondering why he was getting 1000 pages of contact sheets. That was because he was viewing all his images instead of those that he had selected.

    Hope that helps.

That is what I get, but not what I want... I like to make contact sheets with 12 per page so they can really be viewed better. I simply cannot find a way to make that happen except by selecting them 12 at a time and then they print in very low resolution because I am enlarging them so much.

It doesn't look like there is a way to make high res contact sheets with 12 or 24 per page... At least I'm too stupid and now frustrated to figure it out...

    Any ideas very welcome.

    Thanks,

    Tom

You can define a content sheet layout if you do
File => Print and select option "Contact Sheet".
Then you can set up with "Grid ..."

Still, this generates contact sheets for all images in current view, not just the selected ones (somewhat inconsistently to many functions that operate on the section instead of the view). To get a view of only the selected images, you can do
    "Find => Show selected" first.
