change the black UI theme to dark gray
Is there a way to change the very black background of the whole UI to something slightly less contrasty, like let's say to a dark gray? I only see an option for this for the viewer but when looking at some screenshots like the one below it seems there is also a gray version.

The screenshot is from CO7, that had a less dark theme. 0 -
So I guess the answer, that there is no way to change the theme? 0 -

Nope, only in the Viewer.0 -
Dark gray IS better.

Around 15-18% grey work really good.
A slider to satisfy every taste even better 😉0 -
Count me in. Hobson's choice, Ford's choice, black only, is not good enough in this day and age.
Another job for Phase, I think.

I wholeheartedly agree. The black background is difficult on my 56 y/o eyes and the fact the import window opens atop the main window with the same colour makes it virtually invisible. I'm finding it difficult to understand how anyone could see that as a good design concept.
Surely it's not too much to ask to let users have a few options for choosing the background colour of the program. I'd be happy enough if the options available for the viewer were also available globally.
As a new user, probably my greatest dislike of Capture One is its overall look - white on black is NOT an easy way to read.0 -
I see white on a dark grey and I have absolutely no problem spotting pop up windows like the import function window.
My eyes are older than kakman mentions.
Is this something else that is different between Mac (this forum) and Windows (my operating system.)?
