You should be able to set an aspect ratio as 1208 x 690. You can't set it as 1.75 x 1 as it doesn't allow fractional values. You could set it as 7 x 4 if you wanted, which is the same ratio.

Ok thanks let me try that I tried putting in 1208 in the process but it kept the 690 and made 1208 1034 but will try the 7X4

Yes, but I am suggesting setting up a crop ratio of 7x4.

Bear in mind that the Crop tool is a ratio that defines an area of the image.

If you concern is the pixel size of the output file you need to look at the Export settings or, preferably, the Output Recipe settings.

Also, if you have set, say, the short side to 690 you need to make the short side short enough (in real pixel availability terms ) to allow the long side enough pixels to be able to fit in to whatever long side dimension is available.

It may be easier to set the long side, fit that to the available long side of the image/crop and then see where that leaves you with the short side.

    HTH.

I have tried Aspect ratio setting to 7X4 and changed the process recipe to 1208X690 even just 1208 and it still shows in the process summary 1034X690 I even left the crop alone and did no cropping still the same problem

I also just tried 604 345 and it drops it to 517X345

I think we need to start at the beginning here, because this should not be too difficult. Let's say that I have a starting file that is 6000x4000 px. I want to create from it an output file that is 1208 x 690. Obviously, some of it will be cropped off because the original is a 3x2 aspect ratio and the desired output is a 7x4 aspect ratio.

One way of doing it is this. (There are other ways!)

    (1) Create a new process recipe for JPG or TIFF as desired and set the scale to Dimensions (NOT width x height), the units to pixels, and the dimensions to 1208x690.

    (2) In the crop tool, change the ratio to Output. Now when you crop the image, it should crop to the 7x4 aspect ratio. (Note it will not show the actual dimensions in pixels as you crop - it will always show 1208 x 690 because it will scale the cropped image up or down to that size when it is processed.

    (3) Now process the image.

By the way, another way of doing it would be

    (1) Create a process recipe where the Scale is set to Long side = 1208 pixels.

    (2) Create a crop ratio of 7 x 4, and crop the image using that ratio.

    (3) Process.
