Style Preset
Style presets are norm in modern RAW converter. I always wonder whether there are documentation on those style presets that come along with CO. Of course some names are quite obvious but I really have no idea what pop-minus and pop-plus are meant for. I can trial and error them but isn't it a good ideal to have some documentation of why they were created for?
Another wonder is why there aren't presets that mimic those common picturestyles that are available in cameras, like Portrait, Sunset, hi-key, low-key etc.
Are there websites with CO presets to be shared?

The styles inherent to Capture One havn't changed much from the software's conception. The preset values that are there seem sufficient for the majority of uses. I imagine that's because of how easy it is to make and save your own, no need for us to crowd the list further.
If you have some of your own that you'd like to share you are welcome to post them here for others and if there are some you think the software could benefit from by default feel free to upload them to a support case and we can give them to the proper department.
In regard to a place describing the styles, the names are more or less self descriptive. For those that seem a bit more cryptic you'll have to use trial and error.0 -
Hmmm... that'd be a project for a rainy Sunday afternoon - process an image with all of the C1 presets and post them up on a web page somewhere so that people can see what effect they have.
If the weather here doesn't improve shortly, I might have at it.0 -
Keith,
A quicker solution is to just scan through the styles in the Style tool. As you roll over the selections the viewer will update with the highlighted style, without applying any adjustments.0 -
