Color way too saturated and corrupt files MACBOOK PRO 17inch
I created a support case for this but thought maybe some users could shed some light on these issues as well....
We were previously shooting with a G4 Powerbook and just recently upgraded to a 17 inch MBP with 2 GIGs of ram. The good news is the processing speed is dramatically improved. The bad news is previews in capture one are way off compared to the processed file. Way way oversaturated. I realize it is just a preview and it isnt going to be 100% on with the processed file but these previews are way too saturated. I tried going into the terminal and deleting colorsync preferences and restarted and reaplied the color preferences.. No change. We are running C1 Pro 3.7.4 build 2784
The other problem we are facing is when a processed file is opened up in photoshop we get an error message claiming the file may be currupted. The file then opens and doesn't appear to be currupted at all but looks fine. This doesn't happen all the time either. A lot of the time I notice it when bringing the processed files from the macbook pro onto the powermac g5 and opening them in photoshop.
- attached is a screenshot of tiff opened in photoshop and the same file in C1Pro showing dramatic saturation differences.

I also get the Photoshop warning which is a pain when running actions. I have a theory, but have not tracked it down for certain, that it is caused by different mac disk formats.
As to the separation issue. Are all the settings set to the same defaults? Is the colour space the same in both apps?
Your screen grab on my colour managed Safari browser shows only a very slight difference in colour.0 -
bobcroxford,
The Case is ongoing with issues as to what is set for Proof Profile.
But to inform regarding the Photoshop warning message, here is the reply from Case:The truncated file warning window in Photoshop is a Known Bug specific to Intel Mac that has been fixed in upcoming version update of 3.7.5
Look for this version mid-September.
This involves meta data and the warning window in Adobe is due to some data missing.
Be assured that the image quality is fine and if Saved in Photoshop, the next time image is opened the warning will not appear.
Some have made an Action to batch save on jobs they needed to deliver.

I have the same problem.
I was thinking in trying Aperture 🤓 😁 but reading this, I will wait to the upcoming version 😊

Hey,
I also don't see much of a difference viewing both images on firefox.
