Don't quite get how the crop tool works
Howdy all,
In theory the crop tool seems logical, but unfortunately in practise it's not doing what I'd like!
I selected 'unconstrained' in the ratio drop down box, but the image dosn't crop where I would like it to - it leaves extra space over.
I'm assuming this has to do with the measurements of the photo, I left them unchanged.
Would I have to change the measurements (ratio) of the photo to match with the amount of cropping I would like to apply?
I would apprciate it if someone could explain how to crop effectively.

The easiest way to use the Crop tool, if your not familiar with using Ratios, is to set it to "Ouptut".

From there, select your Output Recipe and set the Scale, "To Size". Then set your Width and Height to the size you ultimately want. Then the Crop you set will automatically scale the image to fit that size. In this case the end result 11.25 x 8.75 is scaled to 53% of the original RAW data.
