New Version?
Are there any plans for a new version of this software? Are there plans for an update for the existing software?
I was hopeful when PhaseOne bought the company, but since then, there has been no new information.
Of ALL the software I use on a daily basis, only my web browser gets more usage. This is the centerpiece of much of my workflow, and it would be nice to have some reassurance it will not be abandoned.

I think their answer will be, "have a little patience." Clearly they are planning a new version. Phase One conducted an EM survey a few months ago, so it's too bad you missed it.
Latest news from the EM product page: "Phase One is now reviewing feedback from more than 600 individuals who responded to its recent Expression Media customer survey."
And here's an excerpt from the (October?) news release...
"About half of survey respondents were enthusiast/hobbyists; the rest were split between
professional and advanced/semi-professional photographers. An overwhelming majority
want to see the program stay focused on its original purpose: to catalogue, convert, and
manage ever-increasing numbers and varieties of digital media. Another request was
seamless interoperability with popular workflow applications."
“It was clear from the thoughtful, in-depth responses that digital asset management is
increasingly critical for business,†said Jan H. Christiansen, Marketing Director of Phase
One. “While popular photo applications offer end-to-end workflow, in many respondents’
opinions, there is no substitute for a best-of-breed, dedicated (and interoperable)
application that excels in managing digital files.â€
"Phase One’s Expression Media development team will be completing its review of
survey responses by month’s end, and it will begin prioritizing the various feature
requests as product development moves along. Please stay tuned, by signing up for

Great info, thank you. I did actually respond to the survey, & I'm happy to see the response.
