Export to different directories with different roots
I'm a recent convert to C1. I'm still trying to wrap my head around exporting via processing recipes and understanding the the duality with locations in recipes and the location tool. Slowly, I think I'm getting it, but I'm still a bit baffled about an apparent inability to simultaneously process two different recipes and have the results placed in different folders *which do not have the same parent folder*. I know I can have two folder in the same parent folder, but that doesn't fit with my workflow goal.
I want to process in one step, for example:
----> full_tiff_recipe exporting to D:/photos/finished_work/inbound (an autoimport folder for my DAM application)
----> small_jpg_recipe exporting to C:/temp_stuff/emailing_these
Am I missing something? It looks like subfolders within a common parent folder are my only choice other than processing recipes separately changing location designations inbetween runs.

make the recipes for the tiff anand "emailing these" part of the recipe instead of "Output".
Output will go the currently defined "Output" folder (without without sub-folders as defined in the token system) as you have found.
If you always have a fixed folder or two into which you send specific recipes then make the recipes point to those folders. (And maybe define subfolders from there if required using the tokens.)
HTH.

Thanks for the response Grant. Tried it again and it worked as you described. I must have been tripping over the location tool settings at the same time earlier. 0 -

It's a little obscure looking when you first approach it but I found that once I got my head around it things were pretty easy.
The only really obscure bit is if you lok at the drop out list of places to which you have previously exported (or rather set as the Export location ) perhaps using different sessions.
Selecting "Output Folder" form the list might be to select somewhere not currently related to the session (or maybe catalog) currently being worked. Some caution required in those circumstances. Useful to check where the "Output" is pointing if you sometimes change things at that level.
