Failure to Copy Image

Every once in a while the C1Pro software gives me a message \"Failure to copy Image\" . It will copy other images from the same card taken during the same shoot though. Does anyone know why this happens?

    Strange indeed. Are you using the Capture One Media Reader when downloading?
    Are all files on card RAWs? Can you move that file into Session manually and then opened?
    The suspect file may be damaged. If you get the file information, is there anything noticeably different from the others that were successful?

    I'm not sure what you mean by Capture One media reader. We're using a Lexar Media reader with Lexar cards.

    All files are .NEF

    I only move things manually.

    The file isn't damaged. I thought that at first too, but realized if I eject the card and try again it usually works and the file isn't damaged.

    I am using a D1X. Could that pose a problem?

    The Capture One Media Reader is in the Pro version and offers to import your CF card files upon recognition of the card reader. It will also allow the renaming of your files, i.e. Session name.
    There must be a variable in the files that fail somewhere. See if you can determine what this may be such as orientation, or different camera setting etc..

    Failing and then unplug/replugging card with success is strange behavior. Is your card reader a USB or a FireWire connection? Wondering if transfer is interrupted somehow...

    Since you move files from card manually, at what point does C1 give the error message? The next time you get this error message, a screen shot of your Mac desktop would be helpful. If we can't deduce from that, a compressed version of the entire image folder from the CF card sent to our FTP site would be great so we can test further.     No, we really have not seen issues with the D1x’s NEF files and importing.

    I get something similar, except it's Failure to Move Image... we shoot to a server and sometimes after you have renamed a file it can't be easily trashed.
