    It depends on how you deleted your image(s).

    Deleting images is also known as 'move to trash'. The trash can is the session trash folder, not the system trash. You can find it there until you empty the trash (another command from the File menu).

    You can also delete images permanently. This is similar as emptying the session trash: they are gone.
    In this case your last resort is to use a kind of undelete utility.
