Lens profiles for Tamron lenses
I posted on this topic in the old CO 7 forum, and I'm back here with some more info and a repeat of the question:
Will Capture One ever support Tamron lenses?
I was told, on the old forum, that Tamron must supply lenses in order fro profiles to be built. I have contacted Tamron's support group on their headquarters site, and asked that they get in contact with Phase One about profiles.
If there is a follow-up from them to me, who is it, specifically, that they need to contact for arrangements?
I contacted Tamron's HQ on the advice of reps from Tamron USA, who I spoke with at PhotoPlus Expo back in October. The people at Tamron USA, by the way, mentioned that they would be happy to support any effort made by Phase One to create profiles for their products.
Since I use (and like) their lenses, and I have used Capture One since CO 6, I'd be more than happy to facilitate a contact between your companies in order that lens profiles for those products can be provided.

Have you previously raised a Support Case?
If not I think that would be the way to go with this. The Support Case system is how Phase record, assess, manage problems and measure the interest level of ideas and suggestions.
However one has to observe that people at trade shows and so on (in any industry) will almost always say something positive and hopeful so long as they do not have any responsibility to follow it up. I don't mean to sound cynical but from my observations over the years that just how things usually play out unless you have personal close contacts that you can bring together amongst the parties that need to be involved.

Well, I know the Tamron person; have dealt with him in the past. Also spoke with Jacob from Phase (R&D head ), so, if I can align the right parties, this might work. Disclaimer: Tamron's HQ just told me today that they have no plans to do this, so, maybe a prod from Phase is in order. We'll see. 0
