Canon Mark III Processing Corruption
I am having issues with random edges of my images being corrupted when processing out my Mark III images through Capture One Pro 3.7.7 It is the latest version and have not had this issue with any other cameras like my Mark II N, 1D-s, or any Phase backs I have used in the past. I also tried and processed the same problem images through Digital Photo Professional and they appeared to be fine. I am not sure what is going on and if there is a bug with C1 and the Mark III that needs to be looked into. I will attach a few of the images...you may have to bring them into PS and magnify them a bit to see really what is going on. The backflip and person shot the problem is on the right of the image and the tattoo shot is on the bottom of the image. You may want to toggle the full screen mode in PS by hitting the f key a few times to get it with the full black display mode to see what is going on easier. Thanks.

HI-
Capture One 3.7.7 does not fully support 1D Mark III YET!
We have added a preliminary support to enable at least limited use with this camera and now are working on next release 3.7.8, which will include a full support for it.
WE are working hard to get this version out very soon...as we know this is a very popular camera.
This problem is on the Known Issue List:

Hi ---
My Mark III arrived today, and I had this awful thought as I was adjusting the user settings, "Gosh, I wonder if Capture One Pro supports this camera yet?"
I use Capture One on a PC.
I quickly did a search on the forum and your KB and found that unfortunately you don't support this camera yet.
Any guesstimate as to when you're likely to release the update that does support the Mark III, especially as Canon (at long last) now seems to be shipping the camera?
Kind regards,

Craig,
The Mk III RAWs are supported and many report great results.
However, the Known Issue is this:Issue Description
On canon 1D Mk III images.
The image appears normal in the viewer, however once processed, there's a 4 pixel wide stripe, of what looks like black calibration data. when its a landscape image, the artifact is at the bottom. When it's portrait it's at the side.
Workaround: crop the line out.
This Bug should be resolved in the next Update of 3.7.8
Cheers,
K C0 -
The problem sounds minor, and the workaround sounds easy. I hadn't appreciated it wasn't a big issue.
We will proceed as we have before --- just using the Mark III. And will await the next release when it comes out.
Thanks for the quick reply.0
