Thumb is showing different picture than file is.
This very weird: In my Thumbnailgallery there are pictures shown as a preview which do NOT belong to the orginal file which they should show. The original file of the wrong picture which I see in the gallery is also in same library.
Okay, let us call this particular but it is really getting worse when I try to make adjustments on the file. I see the picture I will adjust, but as soon as I drag a slider - the picture changes to the one (the wrong one) I see in the preview gallery and I have to do teh adjustemenst on a complete wrong picture. After releasing the slider, the desired picture is shown again WITH the changes I have made on teh other picture. True!
I hope somebody can understand my description.

I would recommend a cleanup of your setup, which involves (but is not necessary limited to) new session, deleting cache and settings files of the folder affected, cleanup CO6 batch queue, and preferences. Last but not least repair permissions of your disk volume. 0 -
Hello Tilman12,
This usually happens when the preview gets out of sync with the raw file. Do the following to clear it up:
1. Exit Capture One Pro
2. With finder, go to the folder that contains the capture where this problem is occurring.
3. If you are not familiar with the folder structure in Capture One, the main shooting folder contains all your raw images for a particular shot and a 'CaptureOne' folder. The 'CaptureOne' folder contains a 'Settings50' and a 'Cache' folder. Settings contains .cos files which have all the Capture One image settings (exposure, white balance, meta, sharpening, variants) for each image (one .cos file for each associated Raw file). DO NOT DELETE THESE!! The 'Cache' folder contains a 'Proxies' subfolder and the 'Proxies' subfolder contains 2 files for each image - a .cop and a .cof file. I believe the .cof is a focus mask and .cop is the preview.
4. Education over. Delete the 'Cache' folder. Empty trash.
5. Launch Capture One Pro and go to the folder that contained the image(s) with the preview issue.
6. Capture One will realize there are no previews and it will regenerate them based on the information in the raw capture file and settings file. It will take a few minutes for Capture One to regenerate all the previews. You can see progress as the thumbnails change or you can launch the activity window (Window > Activities) to see a progress window.
I usually notice this happening when I have a bad capture and I permanently delete (File > Delete Permanently) the capture and I roll the next capture counter back by one. The new capture will come in, but it will have the old preview attached.
I hope this helps.
