Catalog and deleting files
So I have noticed today that when I delete a file from my catalog it doesn't actually delete the session files from the session its associated with.
My workflow consists of using a hybrid system from a dedicated server. So basically the sessions are on the synology server then I use the catalog to import my sessions into for preview and processing. As the transfer rate to run sessions off of the server is seriously slow at 100mbps.
Heres the issue when I delete a file(s) from the catalog it doesn't actually delete the file from the session that I imported while I like the redundancy of this I am worried about filing up my server with dead files.
Any help insight would be great. I would love to actually be able to delete files from my master catalog.

Rob,
It won't readily delete a source file that is not a "managed" file in catalogue terminology. There could be any number of other applications working with the same file. Including sessions, which are entirely independent of any catalogue usage.
