Trouble with portrait/crop and processing

Dear C1 users,

I am processing a proms night photoset in C1 (version 3.7.4) and I am having trouble with crops. After cropping pictures taken in portrait setting and rotating them (camera does not rotate itself) I process them. For the landscape pictures this goes all well, but the portrait pictures are cropped and after exporting upper parts of the picture get chopped off. Can somebody help me with this? I have not before had such strange trouble with C1...

I also have trouble controlling the sharpness of pictures, in C1 they look way more crisp than in the webbrowser or jpeg viewer after exporting.

  The latest update seems to fix the crop problem, but the sharpness/crispness is not as wanted. Does somebody know how to get this fixed?
