Pentax K-3 Purple Edge
I'm currently switching from Aperture to C1 and my photos from Pentax K-3 are showing a purple edge on photos with a white background. This doesn't show up when my RAW (dog) files are processed with Aperture or Photoshop.
Could C1 be catching a sensor issue or is it more likely to be the C1 camera profile for the Pentax K-3?

Did you capture in PEF or DNG, as Pentax as I recall call both of them as RAW 0 -
Just checked by myself using latest C1 software.
With DNG Raw file, was able to reproduce issue that you talking about.
Definitely looks like a bug in how software handles DNG, pls open support case with C1.0 -
Yeah, I just switched to .PEF and had no problems. I will report the issue to them. Thanks for your help! 0 -
Never noticed it, but I have that issue as well (with a Pentax K3). And not only on the right side of white backgrounds but also on the top of picture that has a white, black white background across the black section. Opening the raw in preview shows no purple edge. 0 -
Phase One Support let me know that officially they only support the K-3 w/ PEF raw files. 0 -

Hmmm...
So this is an out of camera DNG?
Because if it is, I'd push back on that statement. The Capture One Camera Support page confirms "file support" for the K-3. As this is a K-3 file, I'd expect it to be supported by Phase One.
There's nothing on that page - or anywhere else on the Phase One site - suggesting that in-camera DNGs are conveniently "unofficially" out of scope.
Go back to Phase One, Danny. You have a legitimate expectation of file support as advertised, and DNG is unequivocally in scope of "file" support.0 -
If this indeed from the in-camera DNG, it is a clear-cut bug. Please create a support-case and be sure to provide the raw-file, so we can verify a future fix. 0
