Capture One 3.6 removes camera setting on generating preview

I just stared using this software and I noticed that as the previews are being generated it's removing all the settings that the camera imposes on the raw image. They end up looking grey and bland. I have just been bumping up the contrast and saturation to bring the image back to how I shot it but it's driving me nuts!

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a setting that will stop it from happening? I have read through the hep files as well as tried adjusting most of the prefferences that could be related to this but have not had any luck yet.

  My guess, being just a user, is that the camera settings do not apply to the raw. If you change the camera settings (contrast, saturation etc) it will affect a jpg saved to the CF card. However, the raw will remain unchanged (since, by definition, the raw is the, well, raw information registered by the sensor. Any in camera adjustments are applied afterwards).
  
  So, I'd say your logic isn't quite right, since the input to C1 is the raw.
  
  If you are satisfied with the in camera adjustments you probably don't need C1. Much of the value is that it allows you to do a lot of fine-tuning. Without wanting to sound negative - if you don't want to do those adjustments in C1 (but are happy with in-camera adjustments) then you should probably spend your money on something else.
  
  But here is a suggestion for a solution:
  
  You can set in Preferences in C1 the amount of saturation (and I believe other parameters too) that you want applied by default to all images.
  
  And here's another suggestion: do a little bit of experimenting: see how much more you can do with the adjustments in C1 and you might find that it is actually worth the additional time (and expense).

  I am very interested in this too. Any info on how to get back the same look as before the image re-generation is done would be great..

  This is a very good question.
  I suspect Per K is correct. My understanding is that RAW is RAW… the most data available to the CCD/CMOS.
  I am not aware of a DSLR that alters the RAW file with in-camera settings available.
  Typically these adjustments are applied to an in-camera processed file i.e. JPEG
  Possibly, with a RAW file, this information is within the EXIF data and is relayed / interpreted by the camera software upon development. If this is the case, Capture One would have no way of interpreting these data.
  
  I suggest reading the camera manual or contacting their Tech Support to see just how these setting adjustments are applied to an image.
