Unable to open Capture One Catalog
Hello All!
I am experiencing a very annoying issue. I have a NAS for my archive, and when I drop a shoot onto it, I import it into a catalog for access later. This catalog took weeks to import everything into and keyword.
I am now unable to open the catalog as Capture One says a user (Me!) already has it open and it can only be opened by one user at a time. Being that the user is (ME!) that has it open, but not actually, is making this one a tough one to troubleshoot.
The catalog only exists on one computer, and one user (ME!) has access to it. So it must be a latent cache of a previous session of mine, does anyone know how to clear out this cache?
Things I've tried already:
Duplicating the catalog.
Moving the catalog to another computer and then opening.
Upgrading to C1-9
Dumping all prefs for C1
Best,
Ian

Locate your catalog in Finder and use 'Show Package Contents' to open it. There will be a 'writelock' file, I expect. Delete it, and the catalog will be available again.
This usually happens when a catalog is copied while used, CO crashed while using it, and so on.

It's a well known thing around long term users. Happens here and there.
And I was just lucky to be the 1st to write the answer. 😄
