Shifting Colour Balances

Why is there such a large shift in colour balance when jumping from 5550K to 5600K?

Also why is there such shift in exposure when jumping from -0.1 and -0.2 when using the phaseone backs?

  Alistair - I've been experiencing the same "jump" with the K slider. I'd asked around, but no one seemed to know what I was talking about. And exposure jump, too. I check that I had the latest firmware, etc etc.
  
  This happens on BOTH my P25 & P30/h101 backs. Also, in order to "compensate" (it still looks awful) I have to take the green/magenta slider WAY over. Then, if I select another file and then return back, the g/m slider has gone wacko; the thumbnail shows correctly, but the g/m number will have gone from, say, +67 to -103. If you click on the slider it then shows the -103 (eg - SUPER green).
  
  C1 people - what IS this? Hopefully someone can help, because it's rather problematic and yet I haven't found anyone (until Alistair) with the same issue.

  This is a Bug.
  We do get misrepresentations in the Kelvin values in Capture One.
  This has been improved greatly in most current version of Firmware and Software, and Developers continue to work on this issue.
  >P25 = firmware 3.3.4
  >P30 = 2.3.6
  >Capture One = 3.7.6
  
  The images look fine but the value slider varies a lot.
  We are looking into this issue but no proper solution found to date and it will not likely occur until version 4.0 is available.
  Workaround =
  Set the White Balance as normal and pay no attention to the Kelvin slider numbers, and continue to work.

  Hey Keith - thanks for the reply. I'll keep an eye for further updates to the firmware.
  
  I still did have a question, though: You said that in the bug the images "look fine" - but in my case - and it sounds like Alistair's as well - there's this big "jump" between 5550K and 6000K. Also, between -.1 and -.2 on the exposure slider. What is the reason for that? Thanks!
