processing speed with mac pro 8 core VS 4 core

i ' m processing canon eos1ds mk2 raw files to tiff in 30 seconds on pc with capture one 3.7
I was wondering if somebody can share his experience on mac pro 4 cores or 8 cores to be able to compare

  From the title of thread I assume you have a 4 core Mac Pro. I do not have a machine like that to compare with your results. But in case you might want to know whether CO3.x uses the 4 or 8 cores respectively, I remember a release note recently which states CO3.x does support 2 cores.
  
  You could view the Activity Monitor CPU utilization while processing images on your 4 core machine and see whether all cores are in use.

  I have canon 1ds mk2 and 8 core Mac 2.8 ghz with 6GB of ram and CaptureOnePro 3.7.8
  
  To process 8 bit Tiff full size 47MB takes 7 seconds,

  Capture One Pro 3.7.8 supports up to 8 cores for Mac
