Support for more Nikon (mount) lenses ?
Hi
The list of supported lenses has been extended in last CO version (V7.1.6) and I was very glad to find 2 of my lenses in it.
However, I'm still missing some lenses, could you please add support for the following ?
- Nikkor 10-24 AFS DX
- Nikkor 60 F/2.8 AFS (Micro-Nikkor)
- Sigma 150 OS for Nikon mount.
I don't understand why Sigma lenses are corrected for Canon mount and not Nikon's since I suppose they are very similar. Am I wrong ?
Thanks in advance to the Capture One team.
Regards

Epipactis,
If we are able to get the Lenses in-house, then we are able to measure and calibrate them. We can then provide support.
We can certainly add these lenses to the list of those requested from Nikon, however it is up to them to provide them for analysis.0 -
Hi Drew, thanks for your response.
I did not know that the lenses supported by C1 had been provided (or had to be) by the makers. In fact I wondered how the supported lenses had been chosen, why this model and why not that one ? Maybe some lenses could be lended to Phase One by individuals ? If I lived in Copenhagen, I would be glad to lend mine, however I live more than 1000 km away from Denmark...
I hope that the 10-24 DX lens will be supported. Wide angle lenses, even the good ones, need optical corrections for sure.0 -
The manufacture is preferable as they can verify a lens is "within spec".
A lens from a user may have faults they are unaware of that do not effect the masses.
However, if someone wanted to stop by Denmark and lend us a lens I don't think we would refuse 😄0 -

That's right Drew. 😉
(Although I'm sure my 10-24 DX is perfect... 😄 😄 😄 ).[quote="Drew" wrote:

Maybe one day, who knows... 😊0 -
I am still awaiting a lens profile for the Nikon 28mm 1.8G lens. 0 -

That would indicate that we to are waiting for the Lens from the Manufacture... 😄0 -
How long does it usually take to get a lens from the manufacturer? 0 -

Sometimes it's a week, sometimes they never send them. It's unfortunately not up to us.0
