Have you got a recipe selected?

Nothing appears in the batch queue?

Using the same untitled recipe I have in the past. No changes to the process with the upgrade and it did work in 8.0.1 and previous versions.
Yes, there is history in the processing queue and I can re-process them, but still nothing is written.

Output naming has been updated in 8.1.

It may be worth checking to see if that has affected any naming system you have been using.

In the Output Location tool on the "Store Files" line click on the Right Pointing arrow at the end of the line and see what is there.

Does your Recipe include a Sub Folder? If so you would expect to see the sub folder. Click on it to view the contents.

If the Batch History shows entries with file sizes it would suggest that something is being written somewhere.

Thank you, a bit of additional exploring in the recipe folder found another place where the files are processed to.

Output location -> appears to point at the parent folder
then in the process recipe -> root folder within the parent folder (strange naming convention)-> sub folder. I have a root folder and that is where all the missing photos are stored. Now to clean it up.

So, in summary, there is no longer a generic recipe that the output is controlled by the Output location tab, but a the location is controlled within Process recipe.

Other than the file naming conventions I don't think anything has changed here.

I seems to recall there was a post somewhere a few weeks back that explained the purpose of the output locations options. I can't recall where it was though. Could be worth a search.

How it should work is that:
    - Process Recipe > File tab > Root Folder > Output Folder setting directs the output folder to the Output Location tool.
    - Any other setting for the Root Folder in the Process Recipe neglects the Output Location tool

Optionally, you can define a sub folder for the root folder in on the same file tab. This is a way to redirect JPEG and TIFF files to different sub folder under the same parent (root folder).
