Capture One 7 Serial number for 6?

Hello

We purchased Capture One 7 for our studio.
We use a Canon 5d Mk2 (Firmware v 2.1.2) & Apple iMac OS X 10.7.5

Until Canon release the SDK, we can't shoot tethered with Capture One 7.
We are now running the trial of Capture One 6.4.2, tethered, all running fine.
The months free trial runs out in 3 days though!

Is it possible to use our Capture One 7 serial number withe Capture One 6, until the Canon update is available?
Will we then be able to use that serial with 7.

I understand there are workarounds, to run Capture One 7 with 5d Mk2 tethered, but I'm a bit weary of this. It's a really busy studio and I'd hate to waste time if I got it wrong!

    Yes, you can use your Capture One 7 key to activate CO6.

    In your setup I would install CO7 next to CO6, rename the app folder. Next, I would install the Canon SDK fix on CO7. It does not hurt your CO6.4.2 setup. The procedure is pretty straightforward and besides sleep mode it works pretty well.

    Your trial on CO7 should last 60 days from 25 October 2012 (or later). In other words, you should be save till around Christmas.

    That's great. Thank you for the advice. Have used the CO7 serial number we purchased, to load CO6.

    I should have said.. the 60 day CO6 trial finishes in 3 days.

    Will I be ok to have CO6 & CO7 running on the same Mac, with just the one serial number? I'll give the CO7 Canon SDK fix a try.

    Yes, but do not run them at the same time. Either one at one time is fine. And yes, with one license key.
