Stitching Preview Request
Dear Phase One
I have used a phase one back tethered to capture one for nearly 10 years starting I think with version 3 point something.
What I loved about that version was the ability to preview stitches while shooting. This took around 1 second to select the 2 or 3 images shot in the correct spacing and then hit stitch preview and bang I could see whether I liked the shot or needed to adjust.
Unfortunately since about version 4 this has not been possible. As I'm sure you know now if you hit stitch it processes the images and then opens them in photoshop and makes that do the work. This is fine for processing after the shoot but impractical when on a shoot. I understand that to make Capture One able to completely stitch the shot and process is too complicated but would it be easy/possible to have just a preview option? It wouldn't have to be perfect just to give the impression of the composition.
At the moment I am stuck using version 3 to shoot to which also means I can't update the operating system on my laptop as it won't support the old capture one version. Inevitably at some point soon I will have to upgrade my laptop to one which will not allow me to use the older operating system.
I'm sure I am not the only photographer who likes to do stitching and to be able to preview almost instantaneously is really useful.
I would love Phase One to add this preview feature if possible. Please let me know if so or not.

God I completely forgot about that! it was a great feature. you can kind of get similar performance processing out quickproofs and the stitch with photoshop applescript item. 0
