Output images differ from adjusted RAW images.
I have noticed that images processed to the output folder are significantly different from the adjusted RAW images from which they came. Colors and contrast are definitely off. The histograms differ as well. Output images are TIFFS in ProPhoto RGB. I have the Proof Profile set to Selected Recipe.
Have others noticed this phenomenon, or am I making a fundamental error?

It turns out that the images in question were not processed from actual RAW files, but rather from DNGs that had previously been edited in Lightroom. So, I suspect that the Lightroom adjustments affected the conversion to TIFF. When I checked some images processed from original RAW files, the differences between the adjusted RAW images and the Output TIFF images were trivial.
Whew!

Rob,
See the known issue post. The XMP issue is likely related to the DNG issue you experienced. Adobe can integrate XMP data into DNG files, so although no separate XMP data is present the same conflicting data is present in the DNG.

Drew,
I am aware of the xmp issue as well. What troubles me most is that some of my DNG files processed in Capture One will not open in Photoshop except in Camera RAW, which means that I cannot edit them further or print them. I presume that a fix for that is on the way.

Rob,
The issues are identical. If the images (DNG) were not edited in a software prior to Capture One you would not have the issue, as no separate files would exist within the DNG. The issue is being addressed and we hope to have a fix for you soon.0 -
Actually, upon closer inspection, I believe that the output TIFFS differ somewhat from the adjusted RAW images. In particular, they seem to have less contrast. And, of course, the histograms are different if Clarity has been added. This is actually very irksome and, I should think, easily fixable.
