[Enter] Does Not Work for Annotations
Entering annotations (Location, City, etc) was never as efficient as it could be. However, it seems it just got worse after I upgraded to 1.4.0.66040. Now after entering an item pressing [Enter] does not confirm the entry. Instead I need to reach to the mouse and double click on the next field to enter item there. Do you have the same issue or is there some setting to change the behavior?
Btw, the way this should work is
* To start editing simply start typing in the current field (which should stand out more as right now it's just a little darker than all other fields) or double click on any field
* To confirm/finish what was just entered press [Enter] (and maybe tab)
* After confirming automatically move to the next field and be directly in editing mode
* With nothing entered, if you press [Enter] exit the editing mode
* With nothing entered, if you press [Tab] move to the next field and be directly in editing mode
One other thing to consider is that one can move to a particular field by start typing the letters. So if I want to move to Location I would type "Loc" (in this case a full 3 letters are required because there is also Longitude but in many cases only 2 or even 1 letters are required). Of course, by doing this you can't get into editing mode by simply start typing. Instead you would have to press [Enter] to start typing. It's possible all this might get too complicated especially for people who don't use the program on a daily basis but it's something to consider.

Not sure i totally follow you.
But, this is how it works for me:
click on field of choice
press Enter --> edit
press Enter --> done
or,
click on field of choice
press Enter --> edit
press Tab --> jump to next in edit mode
press Enter --> done
Is this how you'd like it to be? Or are you looking for something else?0 -
What I would like to do is just start entering text instead of having to press [Enter] first. Anyways, this is a relatively minor issue. My main reason for posting is that after upgrading to the latest version the [Enter] is not working anymore to start entering text and to confirm entering text. Does anybody have the same issue with the latest version? 0 -
Oh, i see.
For me, it works as you expect, press Enter to start editing a field.0 -
HCS, which version are you using? I am on 1.4.0.66040. 0 -
Yep, me too.
I'm on a Mac though, not sure if that makes a difference.0 -
Thanks for reporting back. Can somebody else with version 1.4.0.66040 on a Windows PC check if they have the same issue?
Btw, a reboot of the system (Win 7, x64, latest updates, i7) did not help. I doubt reinstalling the software will help but if nobody else has that issue then I will give it a try.0 -
This bug/issue (neither [enter] nor [tab] works correctly) occurs when more than one image is selected (multiple selection). I use Media Pro Version 1.4.0.66040 both on Win7 Pro 64bit and WinXP Pro 32bit. Greetings Kay 0 -
Good find !
I did indeed try with only one picture selected.0 -
I got puzzled because suddenly the Enter worked. I then realized that it works if I only select one picture (which does not happen very often) but when I select 2 or more then it doesn't work anymore. So I came back to report this and realized Kay already reported the same. So this seems repeatable and something that broke with 1.4. I also saw that 1.4.1 was just released. Maybe I will give this a try hoping they did not add other "features" (speak bugs) to it. 0 -
I just gave MP 1.4.1. a try - it features the same bug. Greetings Kay 0 -
Thanks for the feedback, Kay.
PhaseOne, I am getting really annoyed. This bug slows me down terribly!! Please fix this and get a 1.4.2 solution out next week. Seriously!!!!0
