Can I stop Capture One from Opening when I attach...........
Hi,
I have been trying to get my Canon 5Dm2 to work with CO 4 Pro by using the EOS utility and capturing to a hot folder. I have been having connection issues but it seems to only happen when Capture One is open. My question is can I stop CO from opening when I either plug my camera in, or when I plug a compact flash card reader into my computer. I have looked through all the preferences but can't seem to locate anything Sorry if I missed this some where else on the forum. I hope support for this camera will be coming soon? I love my Capture One Pro 4!

Do you have CO selected as "linked software" anywhere in your EOS Utility prefs? 0 -

No I had DPP linked but I turned it off. I may try to start dpp turn on the camera and see what happens. Shut DPP down and open C O. I think I did try that but can't remember the results. Thanks for the reminder.

Ok Gang,
I think I may have figured this out. Here's the sequence that seems to work.
1. Turn camera on and let Capture One highjack the camera. (at this point if you turn on EOS utility you will get the error message)
2. Leave camera on and close the Capture One program.
3. Launch EOS Utility and it should come up normally and show all the camera controls.
4. Open capture one pro 4 and enable the hot folder feature on what ever folder your shooting to.
5. Make sure you set the EOS utility to send files to the folder you just hot enabled.
That should do it. I still have yet to figure out how to keep Capture One from opening when I hook any camera or card reader to my computer.
Thanks for the link Paul_E I will check that out also.
