Immediate probs: no focus mask; thumb generation fail x1000
Hi. Using C1Pro trial version. Two immediate problems:
• Every image I import produces multiple errors with the message "Cannot generate thumbnail from proxy file: too few color profiles". I read on the forum that one can eliminate this by changing the camera setting to sRGB from AdobeRGB, which I have done. I am working exclusively with raw files from a Panasonic G1. Is there a work-around? Does it matter?
• I cannot get Focus Mask to show anything in either the Browser or the Viewer windows. I have installed the Pro version. Clicking the Focus Mask icon on the toolbar causes the Viewer and Browser images to refresh, but shows nothing. I have changed the settings in preferences to both minimum and maximum threshhold. I have tried with both raw and jpeg files, both mine and others. I have changed to a new session. I have closed and re-opened C1Pro. I have rebooted my MacBook Pro (Intel Mac w. 4 GB RAM).
Thanks for any help you can provide with either of these problems. Capture One Pro /looks/ good. Unfortunately, it is not only un-testable, it is un-usable as is.

Check you have version 5.0.1. Check proof profile set in View menu, Proof Profile, Selected Recipe (check mark). 0 -

Version "Capture One Pro (Trial) 5.0.1 / build 33842.33837". Have checked for updates -- none found.
Have set Proof Profile" to "Selected Recipe", and have tried all other profiles listed. Created additional generic TIFF and JPEG output profiles -- no change to C1Pro behavior.
Paul -- Thanks for the suggestions. Still looking ....0 -
I have one G1 RW2 file. Focus mask does not show (CO501Pro, OS X 10.5.8). You could report it in a support case. 0 -

Thanks Paul. I tried (and while I might have done it wrong), and it seems support cases are limited to those who own the software (and have a serial number). I will try to contact Phase One on Monday.
Again, thanks for the legwork you've done on this -- saves me some time, and alleviates some of the frustration of trying to get C1Pro working.
The strange thing -- fwiw -- is that C1Pro does the work to create the focus mask, it just doesn't show it. I'm sure it thinks it's showing it -- it just shows it in a fully transparent color or some similar glitch. Oh well.
Cheers!0 -
When you create a support case you do not have to fill in all fields like serial nr. You can do it 😉 0 -
I shall save you the effort 😊
At the time of release of 5.0.1. we hadn't received the full RAW file info from the camera vendor, so focus mask for G1 will be a future release.0 -

Thank you JamesJ. It would have saved me several hours of troubleshooting and experimentation if this were in the release notes (I don't think it is). The Panasonic G series is listed as supported -- it is fair to assume that the cameras on the supported list are 100% supported, unless noted otherwise.
I am glad to find out that my installed version of C1Pro is not at fault.
Have you now received full raw file information from Panasonic? Can you give a date for the future release which will include full Panasonic RW2 support? What other limitations might I uncover while using Panasonic RW2 files with C1Pro 5.0.1?
Thank you.0 -
The focus mask doesn't appear to work on the Leica D-Lux 4 either - anyone any thoughts on threshold and opacity? 0
