Trouble using the layer tool
Hi to all
Im having a few issues using the layer tool in capture on 7.02....at first it will work fine..then out of the blue when I right click the mouse to apply the layer..the image goes black and I cant see what Im doing...just the image not the whole screen...it also goes black when erasing the layer
my pc is a I5 750 running at 2.66ghz, 16 gig ram , 64 bit windows 7 and a Nvidia 250 GTX video card with 1 gig of ram...
im thinking the video card is my weak link...but any other settings you guys know of..please let me know .

ok..I sorted it out myself.. I've now turned open gl to never in both display and processing..it was already off in processing as I was getting black Jpegs if open GL were left to auto
so how do you get open GL to work..I take it the processing is faster if you can use it...does anybody have a PC where they are using open GL ?..is my video card the issue ??
cheers for any replies0 -

Be sure you have the latest drivers for it.0 -
Yes jim..I have the lastest drivers. ....314.14 0 -
Just my opinion/comment.
Open CL is a moving target. With drivers being just a part of the mix. One can have a "supported" card that works and another brand of card using the same chipset may not work at all. Even the motherboard used can have a good or bad influence.
Yet another example of the kinds of problems that an "OPEN" architecture can have on ones life. (Remember the early DNG claims. Lots of parallels there.) Until there is some kind of consensus locking implementation use by the openCL group it will always have various problems.0 -
