cannot have a license for V6 and V7 at the same time?!
Trying to buy an update to V7 but I'm being told I cannot have V6 and V7 licensed to run on the same computer?
I need V6 to work properly for tethered shoots but I'd like to start using V7 to process some files.
No way I would risk paid tethering jobs with V7 right now. I was told that V6 will stop working after some time - is this true?
I believe I was able to use V5 and V6 ok at the time.

I have a separate license for both 6 and 7 running on the same computer. Both versions open, but I can not confirm that V6 will work or stop working after some time. Maybe the staff can chime in. 0 -
Capture Integration figured it out for me. After getting new code for V7 - go to V6 and deactivate it. Then activate V7 with new code and then go back to V6 and activate it with new V7 code too. You should be able to do this on 2 machines. I'll report back if there's any trouble. 0 -
I will have to try this. I wonder if that is part of the issue I am having. I have V6 on my computer and upgraded to V7. Now every time I open V7 I have to re activate it. I never deactivated V6. It is a hassle to have to activate the software every time it opens. 0 -
Well that did not resolve my issue with having to type in my activation code and profile info every time CO Pro V7.0.2 opens. Anyone have an idea? 0 -

I can not only confirm that the described procedure is correct, you can even mix Win & Mac on a single license. In other words, on a 2-activations license I have both a Mac and Windows machine, which both have activated both CO6 and CO7.0 -
Key's are backwards compatible.
A Capture One 7 Pro Key can activate Capture One 6, 5 or 4 Pro.
If you activate any or all of those software's on the same computer, it will only count as one activation.
1 Computer = 1 User = 1 Activation0
