Layers box, wasting space.

The issue I am having is with the new layers box being way overcompensated for in the sidebar. I feel the box should extend downwards as you add layer rather than having a plethora of blank space in anticipation. I have attached an image. (all of this space indicated by the white arrow). It makes using layers cumbersome as I have to minimise the tool, and the open another one as it pushes everything away

  There is an option to default to Small, Medium or Large. (Three dots top right of the box)
