Leica Q
Do you think Leica Q DNG will be soon allowed by C1 ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thank you very much.
It's a real pleasure to see your reactivity0 -
I used the Adobe DNG converter on the Leica Q files and this allows Aperture and Photos to import the Q files. But this does not work with Capture One for some reason. I hope they can get the Q files up and running soon as I hate to have to work in Aperture or Lightroom but its my only option right now. 0 -
But this does not work with Capture One for some reason.
Sure it does, just make sure you have updated Capture One.
Note: It works since it is a DNG file, it is still not "supported" camera in the sense there is camera specific profiles.0 -
Yep. Just updated to 8.3.1 and now Q files import directly into C1 without need to convert . All is well. 😄 0 -
Just as an update. Although the 8.3.1 notes describe it as "preliminary support" for the Q it looks pretty terrific already. The results I'm seeing are very nice. One little issue is that unfortunately the Q does not allow you to shoot RAW only so there are always duplicate jpegs which do not look very good. And if you just do an "import all" as I did accidentally it brings them all in as doubles. Then there seemed to be some interaction between the raws and jpegs. Like if I did something to the jpeg it also sometimes affected the raw. I'm not sure exactly what was going on and I might have set something up incorrectly.
In any case for me I have no need of the jpegs and prefer to just import the raws. Rather than go through picking them out one by one I just want to mention that the easier way is to set VIEW>GLOBAL FILTERS to "always hide JPEGS." Then you only see the raws. Hand select them though and do "import selected." If you do "import all" it still brings in the jpegs even though they are hidden.0 -
Strange, I would expect that with the global filter for JPEGs set, which also works for the import dialog, no JPEGs would be imported.
I suggest to try this. With the filter active, in the import dialog do not click on Import All, but first select all (DNG) images. Now import selected. Should work.0
