When starting hold down the right shift key until the software loads. This works for me.

My first post and a query. Can you make the raw file settings archive folder default to the same folder as the Raw files themselves? This would mean that when you archived the raw folder you would automatically archive the work files too. 🙄

    NGILPHOT,

Yes, you sure can. This makes archiving as simple as can be.
Please review the Tips & Tricks article SAVE RAW FILE SETTINGS regarding this issue.

Thanks Keith for the reply but can you make C1 always save the work files in the same folder as the Raws - without having to manually do it for each session?? ❓

    NGILPHOT,

No, these files have a default location.
The Thumbnail / Work files are tagged .C1w and are established and saved along with the Preview files [ .C1p ] within C:\\Program Files \\ Phase ONE \\ Capture One PRO \\ Previews Files for All Sessions are kept in this location.
The files remain there and any further adjustments are updated and saved. When a Session is removed from Capture One, they will need to be saved/ archived.
The icon Delete the active collection removes the tab only and does not remove the folder of RAW images from their location. When actually removing RAW files for archiving a job to a server location, i.e. external hard drive, CD, DVD etc. is when you have to archive the .C1w files if all the image adjustment settings are to be saved. Yes, archiving/saving to the same RAW folder is best practice.

    Sincerely,
    k c
