Batch rename one image

    Hmm, good question.

As far as I known there is no way to trick CO8 into the batch rename tokens for a single image. I tried with a clone variant, but to no avail.

It sounds stupid, but a dummy image in your folder or collection...?

I work in a Session. Currently I move that one image to a folder where I have another that is not yet renamed and rename it. Or I make a dummy copy (phyiscal) and rename them.

Normally this never happens, because I rename on import. But I had some very old data and then some folders with just one image.

Might open a support case for that, can't be too hard to add that functionality

But is it hard, on rare occasions that you need to do it, to rename one file manually?

Why use a more complex system when there is no need to?

Complex to what? I rename my files with the date and time from the exif info. I am not going hunting down that info to manually rename it when there is an automated system already there. It just has to work on a single file too.
