C1 pro 3.7 is slooww
I'm getting frustated with C1 pro 3.7. I've downloaded the trial version and its so slow that i'm going crazy. No my computer is not slow.
AMD dualcore 4200+
2Gb ram
1 sata 80Gb (main with XP)
1 sata 250Gb
Everything else is running smoothly but c1 is very very slow. It can take 30 seconds to show an image, its always changing status to not answering and everytime i click on c1 it goes blank and has to load all information over again. Everything i do takes so much time. CPU processor jumps to 50% usage everytime c1 is running.
Whats going on?
How can i solve this?
I love how images look in c1 but its so slow that i cant move. there's no way i'm moving to c1 if this isnt solved.
Kind regards

Hi pedrocaseiro,
Welcome to the forum. So, what is going on with your slow CO 3.7.x?
Well, you might want to take a look yourself with the Task Manager, Process tab, and see what is going an on your computer before and while CO 3.7 is running. The process you must look for to see the CPU performance of is CaptureOne.exe.
But why bother trying CO 3.7 Pro with CO4 available, unless you want the additional Pro features (CO4 Pro is expected later this year)? Have you considered giving CO4 a try? CO 3.x will be abandoned sooner or later when CO4 Pro is released.0 -
Hi Paul.
I took a look at the task manager and captureone.exe is using 50% of the CPU processor power. I uninstalled it and again installed captureone and still the same. SLOOWWWWWW
I'm also going to install captureone 4 to check it out.
Then i'll decide. Thanks for your concern Paul.0 -
Hi pedrocaseiro. Which drive is the one you have installed C1 onto? Which drive contains the pictures you are working with? And where is your Windows swap file located? And where are C1 cache located? 0 -

Hi Janne.
I have C1 installed in c:/ (sata 80Gb with windows) and pictures are stored in e:/ (sata 250Gb).
Cache is located in C1's main directory. Windows swap file is in C: as well (windows standard configuration).
I took a look at C1 4 and its really nice but there's some features in pro that i really like though.
Janne what must be wrong with c1 pro if everything else is running great even c1 4?0 -
I would recommend moving either C1 cache or preferably the windows swap file to a different drive. Especially moving windows swap file away from windows drive usually helps all applications. 0
