"Pick" **** rated images
Good afternoon,
I am moving form Aperture to Capture One Pro. I have imported all images and the imported variants look great. In Aperture I had allocated a ***** rating to the variant I would like to be the "Pick" (top of the deck). I have selected the ***** images in CO but whenever i go to "Image -> Pick Variant" it only changes one image. The icon with the "three squares" that should allow me to apply actions to all selected images is "on" (i.e. orange) but still only one image is changed.
Anybody able to help me?
Thanks,
Helmut

Helmut,
Good news, bad news. The Good news is that you are not in error. The bad news is that the Image menu > Pick Variant is not supposed to work on all selected images, but the Primary variant only.0 -
Hello Helmut,
I think what you want to do is Stack the variants for an image with your chosen variant on top and the rest not visible in the browser. Is that correct?
If you set that up for each image, leaving only the top image visible, and then key 4 for your star rating you should get the results you want. Pick will allow you to set a variant as the top of the stack but if you have several images you want to change values on you will need to "select all" and then make the entry you want to set.
Each variant can have its own meta data and ratings of course. Any ratings applied to the stacked variants that are not visible will not be changed.
Does this help?

Thanks, folks, that helped. Will need to go through all ***** rated images to make them the top of the stack... Sniff.
Have a great weekend, here spring is starting and there might be some good photo opportunities tomorrow.0 -
Reading again I have realised that I misunderstood the requirement. Sorry.
Yep, there's no obvious way to elevate the 5* images to the top of the stack other than individually.
If you filter to select 5* you can then Pick, move to next, Pick, move to next and so on but it is still tedious.
