NO Keywords lookup for SmartAlbums

How is the performance for your? I can't imagine smart albums based on keywords to perform good enough to be useful. Aperture had a better keyword implementation than C1 (including ver. 9).

I don't find the performance good at all, I shoot with a Nikon D810 and there is a delay when looking through my photos in full screen mode. I have to wait until each one renders, I know its only a second or two but it is quite frustrating. Its not my machine as I am running the latest 5K I7 with 32GB memory and 1TB flash storage.

Lightroom renders each photo quickly and so does Aperture.. The keywords are also slow.. I am thinking of switching to Lightroom even though I don't like the software but the DAM side of Capture One is not great, its a pity as they have a great opportunity with Aperture out the game now.. and unlike photo editing this is not difficult stuff to do..They just need some good database developer skills..

There seem to be some speed issues with the 5K iMacs.
Capture One are working on it, but I don't think they've cracked it yet.

What size previews are you saving?

I am saving the largest so 5120.

Just flicked the previews to 640 and re-built all the previews.. Also logged on and off and there is a slight improvement but nothing spectacular..

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't mean that small previews would help. Kind of the opposite.

Does it help (not suggesting this is a fix, just a workaround) when you lower the screen resolution? It seems to work best when the screen resolution and preview resolution are matched, but the 5K Macs do seem to bring up their own issues.
