For the Mac folks who may have experienced this, or something similar.
I cleared the problem so the Capture One has stopped crashing and seems to be working good again. I lost a couple of setting changes I had made prior to the crashes. But it's seems normal again.

The solution: Make sure Capture One is closed. Go into your system Library/Preferences/com.phaseone.captureone11.plist.
Delete this plist file, reboot Capture One. It will automatically create a brand new "plist" file when it reopens. It's a Mac thing.
Anyways, all seems to be working normal again. (fingers-crossed) 😊

Sol, thanks for posting your solution. Checking for corrupt preferences is a good first step in Mac troubleshooting.

You might consider saving a known good copy of C1 prefs somewhere in case you need it again. I've done this for several apps, including the Wacom driver (which blows away your prefs with each update), C1 (both the prefs files AND its Application Support folder which has all of your customizations) and any other app that's crashed more than a couple of times.

If you do that, you can quickly recover from a problem by quitting the errant application, COPYing your "good copy" back to the appropriate folder, and sometimes (Wacom's an example) logging out of your account and then log back in.

Hey, Thanks for the follow-up. Good tip!

I have the same problem, but don't have anything under Preferences referring to capture one, I looked everywhere. Capture one crashes on me all the time, it's extremely annoying and makes the program nearly unusable. I have reported my crashes lots of times, but never got help or an answer. If they can't support Mac users, who are they supporting? A lot of photographers are using Mac ...
Extremely grateful for any help, as my Fuji RAW files are best processed with Capture One, IF it is working!

I should have known that, after you have upgraded, you can't go back. Anyway, I have been trading messages, as well as files and screen video captures, with the experts at Phase One. But no luck yet. Per recommendations, I have turned off the hardware acceleration for display and processing, but that has no effect for me. Every time, I add a Clone layer and then try to create a mask, Capture One 20 crashes immediately.
