Set capture date - does not set date/Time
When I reset date/time it appears to write to the files but no changes happen?

I have met the same problem. 😡
Do you mean the Action 'Rebuild Item' when you write refresh (The Rebuild Item does not make any changes at my pc), or do you refresh in a other way.0 -

Yes it does in it's own databases. When you want to show up the info IN the image you have to synchronize the (new) data from this database to the image with Menu/Action/Sync Annotations > Choose the second option "Export annotation to original files" en tap all options exept 'Include GPS fields':

Thank you for your very precise description.
I have done as described, but non of my capture dates are changed 😭

Hmm, i dived into this subject because it's strange.
Peter Kroghs DAM book for photgraphers tels me (on page 122 of the second edition) "As of this writing, Expression Media 2 does not embed the information into the EXIF data of the images themselves, but keeps it only in the catalog database" I think, this is answering your question...
So, you have to use another application to change the capture date like Exif Tool:

Hi Roelof
Again thank you for your diving into the issue.
It mostly look like a bug in Media Pro. The date were not only not changed in the fiel when I did the sync but neither in Media Pro.
Your seach for a separate program made me follow your footsteps, as I only temporary would have to change the time, I would like to have af GUI programme. I downloaded PicMeta and it is very handy and can handle all the metadata change I need. See: http://www.picmeta.com/en. It is also handy to set keywords to use for filtering in Capture One v7.
I recognized a special issue. There are a least three time settings in the exif data and programs do not use the same, f.ex. for Capture One and ViewNX2 (Nikon programme) the one uses date/time original and the other uses date/time digitalised for sorting. ACDSee do use another (third) date/time.0
