Performance Crop-/Rotate-Tool
Currently I am switching from MacOS to Windows and I'm using a Dell XPS 15 with a i9 CPU and 32 GB RAM. Enough power for everything. But the crop-/rotate-tool feels laggy, also when I quickly change for example the exposure. At my old MBP from 2015 everything (except from importing/exporting) feels snappier.
Is there a setting which I can apply to accelerate C1?

One good thing about MB, is Apple had the sense to put decent NVMe drives in.. I suggest you look at putting a decent SSD in to improve performance.
Also you haven't said if you have the the HD or the UHD screen..
Which RAW files are you editing?0 -
Well I used the 4K XPS 9570 with the i7 with CaptureOne. Truth be told I wasn't really sold and not only did it get very hot and throttled very quickly, it also overheated when doing some fast, intense corrections.
The 1050Ti might seem like a decent fit but it's really not.
Right now I'm using a Razer Blade 15 (also 100% aRGB 4K screen) and I'm much happier. Even though it's just about the same size and only slightly heavier, it's much quieter and cooler, even with an 1070 (max-q) inside - and needless to say that CaptureOne runs very, very fast!
The XPS actually has great NVME drives inside, they are really fast enough for image editing - but the thermals are the limiting factor and it seems like it's struggling with things that really use the GPU.0
