    Hey Matt,

When using a session you need to have the .cos files in the correct referenced positions. Capture One does not keep .cos files in the same directory (folder on your computer) as the NEF files. Instead they are inside a subfolder which is in another subfolder where your NEFs are.

Folder with NEF files /CaptureOne/Settings## *put .cos files in this folder*

The ## here are is determined by the version of Capture One you're using, for 8.3 you would use 83, so /CaptureOne/Settings83/ *put .cos files here* the / indicates new folder

For Co 8.3, you have to use the Settings82 folder. There was no update to the database structure in 8.3, so it keeps the Settings82 folder name.

Other than that, you are correct in your description.

Thanks gentlemen! Am I wrong in thinking that I also need the photographers original .sessiondb document in order to make this setup complete? I've been trying to create my own, using the folder structures like you mention and that hasn't been working.

You can use a clean new session. As soon as you open the image folder in the session's library, image and adjustments should be available. There is no need to get the session database.

Make sure that all names perfectly match.
    '/UserSessionImages/image_xyz.NEF'
    must have a
    '/UserSessionImages/CaptureOne/Settings82/image_xyz.NEF.cos'.

But simple copy/paste only works from a session into a session. It's different from a catalog.

    Regards,
    Hans

Thank you, Hans, Zac, and Christian! This was so simple, just as I thought it would be, with a little help.
