Can't Save TIFFs in Photoshopt CS3
Hi! I'm having a problem saving Tiffs in photoshop CS3 that I have processed through Capture One Pro and LE. Here a detailed description of what I do:
1.Tweak the photo in Capture One Pro(or LE)
2. Export as 16 Bit Tiff(SRGB) file to my processed folder
3. Go to my process folder and open the image I want to edit
4. Make my edits and then I choose Save to save my changes
Once I click Save, I get the error: Cannot save "imagename.tif" because the file is already in use or was left open.
The thing is the file isn't open or in use as the only things that are open are Capture One and photoshop. I find that if I choose save as and save the file in another folder, it save perfectly. However I don't have this problem with JPEGs of any size nor do I have this problem with any file type from other RAW converters(e.g.Lightroom, Aperture, Bibble). What gives? Please help as I am considering purchasing this software but I want everything to work first! Thanks!

HI-
Your first step is to confirm that up that you are opening up the right file.
Making sure its the processed file. in the allocated Process folder. You can use the button in the organize tool on the bottom " show selected in finder" by highlighting the process tool- and it will show you where that process folder is on your system.
Also-You did not mention the type of camera file, but what I suggest is that you try directly opening the 16 bit tiff processed file into Photoshop prompted by Capture One.
Set your preference up in Capture One this way:
Preferences>Processing>Attributes- choose your application
The reason why I am telling you to try this is because you will go directly into Photoshop and can see whats going on... do your edits - then Save.
if you still continue to have problems you should create a Support Case
in the Support section of our website.
Kind regards-

This is an old problem and it happens when the "Processed" folder is kept open on the desktop while working in PS.0
