C1 v12 upgrade trial installation?

I have v11 Pro Sony - is there a way to install the v12 upgrade for a trial period, but be able to easily roll back to v11?

  Download and install in its own folder then run as a trial.
  
  If you tell the installation process to install to the same folder as your existing C1 installation the program files will be updated.
  
  Keeping them separate should mean that you can run V12 as a trial without changing your V11 at all.
  
  HOWEVER. Use new sessions or catalogs for testing since once upgraded old once will not be compatible with V11.
  
  Also, when you edit images you will want to be using the new V12 processing engine. Should you decide to stay with V11 then some of the edits you may make to test the nes features will not be backwards compatible - thus best to test with new catalogues and sessions that you can discard should you decide to keep V11.
  
  None of this is difficult but you just need to be aware of a few basic matters related to making your testing entirely risk free as far as reverting to V11 is concerned.
