    Have you tried to proceed with a support case despite that field being empty? You can fib your way through it and explain in the case text that you did what you had to do in order to submit the case, we're quite forgiving.
    In regard to the issue you're having it sounds like a OS issue and not a software one. Simply put, the file that is stored when you activate is not allowed to save due to a glitch or setting in your OS permissions.
