how do you remove media files that cannot be scanned?
I have a large amount of video files that return errors "Unable to scan media file: XX1.avi" in the Action Log. It seems that Media Pro tries to keep rescanning these over and over even though they cannot be imported, and a lot of them even cause Media Pro Importer to crash each time. I also get errors about Flip4Mac not being able to play DRM content.
I'm neither seeing a way to prevent it from rescanning these files again nor a way to remove the files from Media Pro. They are scattered throughout the various catalog folders so there is no way to find them easily. Is there a way to resolve this fairly quickly?
thanks

In the "Organize Panel" Catalog Fields click on "Show/Hide Fields" on the "Configure List" icon. Click on the "File Type" check-box in Media Fields. When the "File Type" is displayed in the Catalog Fields expand it and click on the "Audio Video Interleave File" dot. All your AVI thumbnail files will now be displayed. In the menu go to Edit>Select All, then Edit>Delete. This will remove all your AVI files from the catalog but leave your original AVI files untouched. 0 -
You might also want to make sure you have turned off "Folder Watching" by setting it to "Never". (In the Menu under Edit). 0
