Files copy themselves outside the catalog
Hi, sorry if this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find anything anywhere.
I have a weird problem: My normal workflow is to import images from my memorycard to inside the catalog on my laptop. Later on I move them (inside the application) to an external drive to save space. But lately (after wondering why my disk was getting so full) I have realized that the files seem to copy themselves to a folder structure outside the catalog but inside the same directory as the catalog. I can not see that I have asked it to do this and inside the app the files seem to be nowhere else than either in the catalog or on the external drive. Does anybody know what the hell this is? I can't find any reason why the files would copy themselves twice
😕

Do you have the "Enable backup" option checked in the "BACKUP TO" section of the Import Images dialog?
That would create backup copies of image files during import.
