Copy and invert mask from luminosity mask layer
Looks like there's an issue with copying/inverting luminosity masks.
1. Create new layer 1
2. Apply luminosity mask (note: inverting Lum mask using flag on dialog box works great, and does not alter the results)
3. Create new layer 2
4. Copy mask from layer 1 to layer 2
5. Inverting the mask (right click - invert) on layer 2 will clear the mask.

You are inverting the luminosity mask as well. The proper way to do this is right click on the layer you want to invert and select Rasterize Mask, and after that you can invert. But the luminosity mask and gradients wont be editable after that. 0 -
I'll contact Phase One on this one. Either the invert mask feature should work, or the feature should generate a warning that Rasterization is required. 0 -

For 5 - assuming you MASK is a fill mask, inverting it will turn it off.
Leave it as it is, go into the Luma adjustments, invert range there and you should get what I think you are looking for.
